The CJP agitation under way in Mumbai has taken a new turn. Supporters of the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) and Shiv Sainiks whom the police had detained during the protest have been released. Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray) leader Aaditya Thackeray gave the information. He said all those detained were freed after talks with the Mumbai Police.

Aaditya Thackeray made it clear that the agitation against Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar would continue. He warned that it would be intensified from tomorrow. Amit Thackeray also announced that a intense agitation would begin at Shivaji Park from tomorrow.

Mumbai Police had detained several protesters in view of the agitation in the Shivaji Park area. Following the action, tension prevailed around Shiv Sena Bhavan. Aaditya Thackeray and Tejas Thackeray had joined the protest and expressed anger over the police action.

Aaditya Thackeray said all the detained protesters had been released, and that the matter had been discussed with the police. He said the venue and time of tomorrow's agitation would be announced soon. According to him, it is everyone's responsibility to create a safe atmosphere for all those taking part in the agitation.

Reiterating that the fight against Gyanesh Kumar would go on, Aaditya Thackeray alleged that pressure was being put on the country's citizens. With this allegation, he targeted the Central government. He said, "Dictatorship will not be tolerated in Mumbai." He also said that if an attempt was made to suppress the agitation, it would be intensified further. He said Mumbai would not be allowed to see conditions like those in Delhi.

Aaditya Thackeray also alleged that instructions were being issued by the Central government to take action against the protesters.

After Aaditya Thackeray's reaction, Amit Thackeray spoke to the media. He said he had come here to get the workers detained by the police released. Noting that all those detained had been freed, he announced that an intense agitation would begin at Shivaji Park from tomorrow. Political circles are now watching how the next phase of the agitation against Gyanesh Kumar progresses in Mumbai.
