Congress workers took to the streets in Nagpur late at night to protest against the arrest of Rahul Gandhi. They tried to enter the BJP office in the Ganesh Peth area, leading to tension in the locality.

According to information received, BJP state president Chandrashekhar Bawankule had a few days earlier allegedly dared the Congress to enter the RSS office or the BJP office if it had the courage. Following that statement, a large number of Congress workers reached the BJP office in Ganesh Peth late at night, it is being said.

The workers tried to go inside the BJP office. Police present at the spot detained the protesters to prevent the situation from worsening. After the action, resentment among Congress workers grew further.

In protest against the detention of the Congress workers, BJP Yuva Morcha workers reached the Ganesh Peth police station and staged a demonstration. During the protest, some workers went directly inside the police station. The police then had to put additional security arrangements in place to manage the situation.

With workers of both sides coming face to face, an atmosphere of tension persisted in the Ganesh Peth area until late at night. The police stepped up security in the area to prevent any untoward incident.

The agitation, which began in protest against Rahul Gandhi's arrest, first reached the BJP office and then moved to the demonstration in front of the police station. The developments have brought the political rivalry between the Congress and the BJP in Nagpur into focus once again.

The police are keeping a watch on the entire matter. Security arrangements have been maintained in the area to keep the situation under control.
