Abhijeet Dipke, Saurav Das and Ashutosh Ranka, founders of the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP), got major relief in New Delhi on Sunday. A Delhi Cantt magistrate court ordered the release of all three. A Delhi Police team had produced them before the magistrate.

CJP legal head Ratna Singh said the magistrate court had ordered their release. According to her, the court did not merely order release but also granted bail with conditions.

Ratna Singh posted on X that bail was granted on the condition that they would not breach the peace for one year. Earlier, she had said that Dipke, Das and Ranka were to appear before the magistrate court. Police had detained them on Saturday (the 10th) before they could leave Delhi airport.

Ahead of the CJP's agitation at Jantar Mantar, Delhi Police had also detained YouTuber Dhruv Rathee. An official said on Sunday that Rathee was released late on Saturday night.

A police source said: "If he (Rathee) tries to go to Jantar Mantar in violation of the prohibitory orders in force, he may be arrested again or further legal action may be taken against him."

Rathee was detained on Saturday from his home in Sector 56, Gurugram. According to police sources, the action was taken amid tight security arrangements in Delhi. More than 7,000 agitators were detained from different places.

Delhi Police have stepped up security in the capital to stop protesters demanding the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar from gathering at Jantar Mantar. The demand relates to alleged irregularities connected with the SIR.
