Politics is heated in the state over the agitation by MPSC aspirants. The agitation led by the INDIA bloc in Delhi is also being discussed across the country. Against this backdrop, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis launched a sharp attack on the Opposition.

Fadnavis alleged that an effort is under way to erode people's trust in institutions created by the Constitution. According to him, an attempt is then being made to send the message that the Constitution cannot give you justice. He made the remarks while referring to the agitation in Delhi being led by Rahul Gandhi.

Fadnavis said, "An effort is under way to instil the feeling in society that all institutions created by the Constitution of India are useless. After that, the message will be given that the Constitution cannot give you justice." This is his claim. He also said, "That is why this is being done with the Constitution in hand."

Speaking on the MPSC agitation in Pune, Fadnavis said the state government is fully positive about the students' demands. According to him, the government has taken decisions to resolve the students' issues. He then alleged, "Politics is being played by using students as a shield."

According to Fadnavis, this politics has reached the point of saying, "Do away with all democratic institutions of India." He made it clear that politics would be answered with politics.

On the matter of the MPSC chairperson, Fadnavis said that seeking the chairperson's resignation or removal from the post is not in the state government's hands. Citing Article 317 of the Constitution, he explained the procedure for removing a chairperson. He also said the present chairperson was not in the post when the paper leak took place, so it should be considered how appropriate the demand for direct action against the chairperson is.

According to Fadnavis, to build confidence among students, the current and former chairpersons of the commission have been asked to be investigated. If anyone is found guilty in the inquiry, action will be recommended to the President under Article 317. The Chief Minister said the state government has made a request to the Governor in this regard.

On the Mumbai Police, Fadnavis said it works professionally and does not take wrong action against anyone. He said the government had accepted the demands of students from the tribal community, after which the students felicitated him. He also alleged that the current agitation is being used for leadership ambitions.
