Tech company Vivo has launched its new smartphone, the Vivo Y600s Pro, in China. It is the latest model in the company's Y600 series. Not long ago, the company introduced two phones in the same series, the Y600i and the Y600k Turbo, and this is the third to follow them.

The phone's biggest highlight is its 10,200mAh battery. The device is positioned in the mid-range price segment. The battery comes with 90W wired charging and support for reverse charging.

The 8GB RAM and 256GB storage variant is priced at CNY 2,699, or about Rs 39,000. The 8GB RAM and 512GB storage variant costs CNY 2,999, or about Rs 43,300. The phone will be available in four colour options: Moonlight Black, Floating Gold, Starry Purple and Vast Blue.

On the software side, the Vivo Y600s Pro runs OriginOS 6, based on Android 16. It takes dual nano-SIM cards and supports 5G connectivity.

The phone has a 6.83-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a resolution of 2,800x1,260 pixels. The display supports a refresh rate of up to 120Hz, HDR and the P3 wide colour gamut.

For performance, the phone is powered by a 6nm octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 7300e chipset, paired with 8GB LPDDR5 RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 3.1 storage. The Memory Fusion feature provides support for up to 8GB of extra virtual RAM.

On the camera front, there is a 50-megapixel rear camera with an f/1.8 aperture and a 32-megapixel front selfie camera with an f/2.45 aperture. Both cameras support electronic image stabilisation (EIS) and video recording of up to 1080p.

Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, GPS, BeiDou, GLONASS, Galileo, QZSS, NFC and a USB Type-C port. The phone also offers stereo speakers, an infrared (IR) remote control and face recognition. For security, it has an in-display optical fingerprint sensor.
