Tech company Vivo is preparing to launch another new 5G smartphone in its V-series in India soon. The upcoming phone is expected to be launched as the Vivo V80, and the company has already announced it on its own website. According to reports, the smartphone will launch next month on October 6 at 12 noon.

Several features and specifications of the phone have leaked ahead of the launch. Details of AI features related to the camera have also surfaced, suggesting the phone could be focused on photography and video.

On price, reports suggest the Vivo V80 could be launched in an 8GB RAM and 128GB storage variant, with a box MRP of Rs 1,19,999. However, the phone's actual selling price is expected to be much lower, and it could launch in India at over Rs 60,000. The company has not yet officially announced the price. The phone will be available in three colours: Sunrise Anthem, Horizon Blue and Stellar Black. After launch, it can be bought on Vivo's own website as well as on Amazon, Flipkart and offline retail stores.

On specifications, the phone could feature a 6.59-inch 1.5K OLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate and peak brightness of up to 5,000 nits. The device could run OriginOS 7 based on Android 17. The design may feature a one-piece cold-carved glass body and a floating camera module. For performance, it could come with a Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset, along with LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 3.1 storage.

The camera setup could include a 50MP OIS primary camera, a 50MP night telephoto camera and a 50MP group selfie camera, with support for 3x optical zoom and up to 100x zoom. It is also expected to feature 4K cinematic video, 4K 60fps video, an AI creative camera, live sticker collage and AI Diwali Portrait 2.0. The phone could also get an 8MP ultrawide camera and IP68 and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance. On the battery front, it could pack a 7200mAh battery with 90W FlashCharge support.
