Vivo is preparing to launch its new V-series phone, the Vivo V80, in India. Ahead of the launch, the company has shared details of the phone's design, display, camera and battery, among other specifications. Tipster Abhishek Yadav has posted on the social media platform X about the likely price and storage variants.

According to the tipster, the Vivo V80 could launch in India at a starting price of Rs 63,000. The base variant is likely to come with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage. The 8GB RAM and 256GB storage variant could cost about Rs 70,000. The top variant could come with 8GB RAM and 512GB storage and be priced at Rs 80,000.

These prices are not official. They are likely figures that have emerged from the tipster. The actual price will be known only at launch.

The Vivo V70, launched last year, had a starting price of Rs 45,999. That variant was offered with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. Going by the likely Rs 63,000 price of the V80, the new model appears to be significantly costlier.

On the display, the Vivo V80 will have a 6.59-inch 1.5K OLED screen with a 144Hz refresh rate. According to the company, the display supports 1.07 billion colours and has a peak brightness of 5,000 nits. The high refresh rate and bright display are expected to give a good experience for gaming, video streaming and use outdoors in sunlight.

The company has put special emphasis on the camera. The phone has a ZEISS camera system. At the back there will be a 50MP primary camera, along with a 50MP night telephoto camera and a ZEISS wide-angle camera. For selfies and video calls, there will be a 50MP group selfie camera with a 92-degree field of view and autofocus support.

Another major feature is the 7,200mAh battery. According to the company, the phone can provide about 14 hours of continuous navigation on a single charge. It will also support 90W FlashCharge, meaning an attempt has been made to keep charging time short despite the large battery.

On software, the Vivo V80 will run OriginOS 7, based on Android 17. It is expected to offer a modern user interface with new software features.

Overall, the Vivo V80 comes with features such as a 144Hz OLED display, ZEISS cameras, a 7,200mAh battery and 90W fast charging. Customers are now waiting for the official launch date in India and the announcement of the final price.
