The Bajaj Pulsar NS200 has received a significant update. The new model of the bike, known for its sporty looks, strong engine and performance, gets features such as a quickshifter, a TFT instrument cluster, traction control and four riding modes. The engine's power has also been increased. The updated model is reported to have reached dealerships, but Bajaj has not yet officially announced it.

The biggest change is a bi-directional quickshifter, which allows gears to be shifted both up and down without using the clutch. This can help during sporty riding. Traction control and four riding modes could also change the riding experience in different conditions.

The bike now has a 5-inch TFT instrument cluster with Google Maps mirroring, which could make it easier to view navigation information while riding. It also gets a USB Type-C charging port, a hazard switch, panic brake alert and adjustable levers.

The Pulsar NS200 has a 199.5 cc engine. In the current model it produces 24.5hp, while in the updated model power has been raised to 25.5hp, an increase of 1hp. Some improvement in the bike's performance is expected. Clear information on whether the engine's torque has changed is not yet available.

The 37 mm USD front fork has been retained for suspension, as before. The new model has radial tyres, but it is not yet clear whether they are on both wheels or only the rear. The bike also gets a new Nardo Grey colour.

The current Bajaj Pulsar NS200 with a USD fork costs Rs 1.48 lakh ex-showroom. The price of the updated model is likely to rise because of the added features. Its main rival in the segment is the TVS Apache RTR 200 4V, priced at Rs 1.48 lakh to Rs 1.49 lakh ex-showroom.

The final price of the new NS200, the availability of all features and the official launch date will be clear only after Bajaj's announcement. Those planning to buy the bike should check the final price and variant-wise features with the dealer.
