Italian company Ohvale's Mini GP bikes have arrived in India. They are meant for riders who want a real taste of circuit racing. Bengaluru-based House of Machines has launched them in the Indian market, introducing three Ohvale bikes in a total of four variants.

The bikes are priced from Rs 7.30 lakh to Rs 12.75 lakh. All of them are built only for use on the track. They are not road-legal and cannot be ridden on public roads.

The models brought to India are the Ohvale GP-0 110 Automatic, GP-0 160 4-Speed and GP-2 190 4-Speed. All three have a 4-stroke, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine with carburettor fuelling. The GP-0 110 has a 106.7cc engine, the GP-0 160 a 155.5cc engine and the GP-2 190 a 187.18cc engine. The 110 variant has an automatic 4-speed gearbox, while the other bikes get a manual 4-speed gearbox.

The standout feature of these Mini GP bikes is their very low weight. The GP-0 110 has a dry weight of 67 kg, the GP-0 160 weighs 65 kg and the GP-2 190 weighs 71 kg, making the GP-0 160 the lightest. Fibreglass fairings and a 3.5-litre fuel tank have been used to keep the weight down.

The GP-0 models have 10-inch wheels and Pirelli Diablo slicks. All the bikes have a steel trellis frame, an aluminium swingarm and an Arrow under-seat exhaust.

The Race variants add more adjustable suspension, Brembo calipers and track-focused hardware. The GP-2 190 Race also gets a slipper clutch and a quickshifter.

By variant, the GP-0 110 Automatic Standard costs Rs 7.30 lakh and the GP-0 160 Race costs Rs 9.50 lakh. The GP-2 190 Standard is priced at Rs 9.90 lakh, and the GP-2 190 Race at Rs 12.75 lakh.

The bikes have been brought in so that young riders can learn circuit riding, pick up the basic skills of racing and gain the experience needed for competition.
