Bajaj Auto is preparing to enter a new segment in the Indian market. The company's 250cc adventure motorcycle has been spotted several times during testing. The bike is expected to launch in late 2026 or early 2027. It will be Bajaj's first true adventure bike and could compete directly with models such as the Hero Xpulse 210.

The engine will be the most important part of the bike. Reports suggest it could get a 249cc air- or oil-cooled single-cylinder engine, believed to be related to the motor in the Pulsar N250. In the Pulsar N250, this engine produces 24.2 bhp of power and 21.5 Nm of torque. For an adventure bike, however, Bajaj may change the tuning of the engine and give more importance to low and mid-range torque.

The bike seen in testing has a high front end, a slim body, a beak-style front mudguard, a straight handlebar and a long single-piece seat. A high-mounted exhaust, spoke wheels and dual-purpose tyres give it an off-road look. It is likely to get a 19-inch front wheel and a 17-inch rear wheel, with telescopic forks at the front and a linked monoshock at the rear.

The bike will not be basic on technology either. The test mule has a full-colour TFT instrument cluster. Features such as turn-by-turn navigation, ride modes, switchable traction control and ABS are likely. Bajaj has not officially confirmed these features.

There is also curiosity about the bike's name. Bajaj has trademarked the name 'Trekker' in India, so there is talk that it could be used for this new adventure bike. Its global debut is likely between November and December 2026, and it could launch in India during that period or later. The price is estimated at between Rs 1.5 lakh and Rs 1.8 lakh, but there has been no official announcement of the price yet.
