West Indies captain Shai Hope has been in prolific form on the tour of India. Over the past six days, his blistering batting has made history. In three innings against India, Hope has scored a total of 316 runs and has been dismissed only once.

In the ODI series, Hope scored 278 runs against India, the second-highest after Shubman Gill. In the third ODI, he played an unbeaten innings of 162 and led his team to victory.

His form has continued in the T20 series. In the first two matches of the five-match series, Hope has scored 154 runs, with a half-century and a century. He made 52 in the first T20I and an unbeaten 102 in the second match.

With these numbers, Hope has set a record that no other cricketer held before. He has become the first cricketer in the world to score 150 in an ODI and 100 or more in a T20I within six days in international cricket.

The record earlier belonged to New Zealand's Amelia Kerr. Kerr scored more than 150 in an ODI within seven days and also hit a century in a T20I against South Africa.

In men's cricket, India's former captain Rohit Sharma has already achieved the feat, but Hope's performance has pushed him down to third place on the list. Rohit has done it three times in his career. He completed 150 in ODIs and 100 in T20Is within eight to nine days.

The list of the shortest gaps between 150 in an ODI and a century in a T20I is as follows. Shai Hope is first with six days, in 2026 against India, with 162 in the ODI and 102 in the T20I. Amelia Kerr is second with seven days, in 2026 against South Africa, with 105 in the T20I and 179 in the ODI.

Rohit Sharma has the next three entries. Eight days, 2018, against West Indies, with 162 in the ODI and 111 in the T20I. Nine days, 2015, against South Africa, with 106 in the T20I and 150 in the ODI. And nine days, 2017, against Sri Lanka, with 208 in the ODI and 118 in the T20I.
