Nagpur: A man who went to his in-laws' house to bring his wife home was struck on the head with a stick and injured. The incident took place under the MIDC police station area.

Amol, 35, married a woman named Bharti as his second wife after his first wife died. He has a 14-year-old son from his first marriage, who studies at an ashram school in Akola. Amol lives with his second wife on the MIDC police station premises.

During Ganesh Utsav, Amol brought his son home from the ashram school. As soon as the boy arrived, Bharti went to her parents' home. Amol went to his in-laws' house to bring her back. His wife and his brother-in-law abused him and began quarrelling with him. The two then struck Amol on the head with a stick and injured him.

MIDC police have registered a case against the accused. The accused are said to have a criminal background, with more than 20 cases of illegal liquor sales registered against them. It is said the accused were angry that Amol had brought his son home, and attacked him for that reason.
