A young man in Nagpur was attacked with a brick and seriously injured for staying friendly with a rival of his attackers. The incident took place near Indian Gymkhana, within the limits of Dhantoli police station.

Dhantoli police have registered a case against the accused, Himanshu Rajesh Nainekar, his brother and an accomplice. The case registered by police is one of assault.

Nikhil Tekam, 29, a resident of Takiya, was drinking with his friend Yogesh Kowe on the night of October 7. After some time, Yogesh left. The accused then arrived there.

The accused allegedly began abusing Nikhil, saying, "Why do you hang around with those who murdered our brother? We will murder you too." They then beat him, saying, "We will finish you today", it has been stated.

According to the allegations, Himanshu struck Nikhil on the face and head with a brick. The accused fled after leaving Nikhil seriously injured. Nikhil remains seriously injured.

Following the incident, Dhantoli police registered a case of assault against the three accused, Himanshu Nainekar, his brother and an accomplice. The incident took place near Indian Gymkhana on the night of October 7, when Nikhil was alone after his friend Yogesh had left.
