Nagbhid police have detained Amba alias Amit Shyam Madkam, who had been externed from the area, at Ram Mandir Chowk. He is accused of violating the externment order of the sub-divisional magistrate's court. The action was taken at midnight on October 9, 2026. A case has been registered against him under Section 223 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
According to information provided by Nagbhid police, the externment order was in force from 6 am on October 8 to 6 am on October 10. Sub-inspector Ajinkya Govindlawar is investigating the case further.
According to details from police sources, on the night of October 8, 2026, police constable Dilip Chaudhari, sub-inspector Ajinkya Govindlawar and police officer Jay Rohankar of Nagbhid police station were on night patrol in the town beat area with their team. During the patrol, police received reliable information from a secret informant that Amba alias Amit Madkam, who had been externed from Nagbhid town, was moving around the Ram Mandir Chowk area of Mauja Nagbhid.
Acting on this intelligence, the police team took panch witnesses along and made a surprise raid at Ram Mandir Chowk at around 12:25 am on the night of October 9. The accused was found loitering in the area in suspicious circumstances, and police immediately detained him in the presence of the panch witnesses.
After he was taken into custody, the accused underwent a medical examination at the rural hospital in Nagbhid. He was then brought to Nagbhid police station for further legal action.
Police's preliminary inquiry revealed that the sub-divisional magistrate's court at Brahmapuri had, under order number 403/2026, externed the accused from the limits of Nagbhid police station from 6 am on October 8, 2026 to 6 am on October 10, 2026. Under the administrative order, he was completely barred from staying within Nagbhid limits during this period.
Despite this, the accused, Amba alias Amit Madkam, is alleged to have violated the administration's order without any prior permission and entered Ram Mandir Chowk within Nagbhid town limits unlawfully. On the complaint of police constable Dilip Chaudhari, a case has been registered against him at Nagbhid police station under Section 223 of the BNS for defying the government order and being found in the prohibited area. Sub-inspector Ajinkya Govindlawar is conducting a detailed investigation into the case.
