Four, including a woman, arrested for attacking man outside Viman Nagar pub in Pune

A 26-year-old man was allegedly attacked with a cement block and a tree branch after an argument at a pub in Viman Nagar, Pune. The incident took place on November 5. Airport police have arrested four people, including a woman, on a charge of attempt to murder.

The injured man has been identified as Hrithik Madhukar Konde (26), a resident of Wadgaonsheri. On November 5, he had gone with his friend Prashant Verma to the Backstage pub near Phoenix Marketcity.

According to police, at around 10 pm Konde was dancing in the pub. He allegedly took off his shirt and waved it in the air. A dispute then began between him and the accused.

When Konde came out of the pub, the accused allegedly abused him and struck him on the head with a cement block. They are also accused of hitting him with a tree branch, which left him injured.

Airport police have arrested four accused in the case. The first is James Philip Makasare (41), a resident of Gandhinagar near Shri Datta Mandir in Yerawada. The second accused is Priya James Makasare (32), who lives at the same address.

The third accused is Bharat Sanjay Thakur (40), who lives in the area opposite Shinde Chhatri in Wanowrie. The fourth is Vedant Shailendra Bhalerao (26), who lives in Shri Tukaram Housing Society, Tingrenagar, Vishrantwadi.

Police have registered a case against the accused for attempt to murder and other related sections. Police Sub-Inspector Palve is investigating the case further.
