Maha Metro has announced earlier last trains on the Shivajinagar-Hinjewadi line on Sunday, November 8, as part of Diwali service changes.

The last train on Line 3 of the Pune Metro will run much earlier than usual on Sunday, November 8, 2026. Commuters travelling on the Shivajinagar-Hinjewadi route will have to plan accordingly. Maha Metro has announced the new timings for the day as part of changes to services during Diwali.

The first train will leave at 6 am as usual. The difference is only in the last trains, which will leave much earlier than on a normal day in both directions.

The last train from Maan towards District Court will leave at 7.40 pm instead of 10.30 pm. The last train from District Court towards Maan will leave at 8.40 pm instead of 11.40 pm.

Interchange facilities from Line 3 to the existing metro corridors, Line 1 and Line 2, will continue. Passengers will be able to change between these corridors, but only within the revised operating hours.

Maha Metro has asked passengers to keep the revised timings in mind before leaving home, especially those planning to travel late in the evening. The change has been made in step with changes to the operating hours of Line 1 and Line 2.

The new timings come only a few days after the Shivajinagar-Hinjewadi metro opened to passengers. After a long wait, the service began on November 4.

For employees working at the Hinjewadi IT park, the route could become an alternative to travelling by road, where daily traffic jams have long been a problem. Women employees commuting to and from the IT hub have also shown interest in the service. For those who depend on cabs or private vehicles, especially late at night, the metro is another public transport option.
