An International Circus Festival will be held in Pune from November 5 to 15. Artistes from five countries, India, Vietnam, Mexico, Ethiopia and Nepal, will take part. The festival is being organised by Rambo Circus and will be held at Buntara Bhavan in Baner. Performers skilled in aerial acts, acrobatics, balancing stunts and physical comedy will share one stage.
In the programme, artistes from Vietnam will perform jar balancing and aerial straps. A pair from Ethiopia will present pole shoulder balancing and a duo frame act. An artiste from Mexico will perform hair hanging, a circus discipline that demands considerable balance and control. Artistes from Nepal will also be part of the international line-up.
The programme will also include aerial displays, acrobatics, slinky performances, an LED dance act and clown entertainment. The clown entertainment combines visual comedy with physical humour.
The venue is Buntara Bhavan, Survey No. 104/1, on the Mumbai-Bengaluru highway in Baner, near the Mercedes showroom. Shows will be held at 1 pm, 4 pm and 7 pm. Tickets start at Rs 500.
Tickets are available on BookMyShow and at the venue. According to Sujit Dilip, a partner of Rambo Circus, bookings can also be made by calling 8306430643.
The Pune event is part of Rambo Circus's larger International Circus Festival programme, in which artistes from different countries come together to present circus traditions and special performance skills. The festival is open to families, and audiences of all ages can attend.
