Zepto store manager in Mira Road accused of molesting women staff, handed to police by MNS workers

Women employees of a Zepto store in Mira Road have accused the store's manager, Jay Pathak, of molestation. After the allegations surfaced, workers of the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) stepped in. On Friday they allegedly beat up the manager and then handed him over to the police.

The store is a quick-commerce outlet in Mira Road. The women employees accused Pathak of improper behaviour towards them. MNS workers then allegedly assaulted him and handed him over to the police.

The women working at the store spoke for themselves. They said, "All of us girls do packing work at the store. Jay Pathak used to behave in a physically obscene manner with us. We had explained this to him earlier as well."

They added, "Today we complained at home. MNS workers gathered with us and beat up Jay Pathak and handed him over to the police."

According to the allegations, Pathak molested the women working there, touched them and harassed them mentally. These are all allegations made by the women employees.

MNS workers also warned the women working at Zepto. They said, "He has molested one girl today, tomorrow he will do the same to other girls."

It is alleged that after the women complained, MNS workers beat up Pathak and took him to the police station and handed him over. A case has been registered against Pathak at Kanakia police station in Mira Road. The police are now investigating the matter further.

The matter is now with the police. The investigation into the molestation allegations against Pathak is in the hands of the police.
