The Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) has alleged that filth has spread on and around the Ajuba bridge in Mira-Bhayandar. The party says a large amount of garbage has piled up on the bridge and in its surroundings. MNS city president Sandip Rane said movement of drunks in the area has also increased, raising questions about public safety.

The MNS pointed out that the trees in the bridge premises are not being looked after properly, and many have dried up. Rane alleged that trees are planted in the name of development works, but the administration then pays no attention to caring for them. He said this has caused resentment among people over the functioning of the Mira-Bhayandar Municipal Corporation and the MMRDA.

The Ajuba bridge is an important traffic route in the city, and a large number of people use it every day. According to the MNS, garbage, filth and the growing presence of drunks at such a place is a serious matter. The party demands that the administration immediately clean the premises, remove the dried trees and make the necessary arrangements to stop the movement of drunks.

Rane warned, "Filth on the Ajuba bridge and the administration's negligence will not be tolerated. If the bridge is not fully cleaned and the garbage and dried trees are not removed in the next 24 hours, we will bring this garbage and these dried trees and dump them directly at the MMRDA office." Rane is the MNS Mira-Bhayandar city president, and he issued the warning on behalf of the party.

Rane also said the administration should take matters concerning people's health and safety seriously and act at once. He said that otherwise the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena would launch an intense agitation in its own way.
