A commotion broke out at Kalyan railway station over an allegation that a woman railway employee had been mistreated. Workers of the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) went to the deputy station master's cabin and demanded answers. The argument escalated and turned into a scuffle.

Based on the woman employee's complaint, a case has been registered at Kalyan Railway Police Station against the railway officer concerned. The officer is accused of sending the woman obscene messages on WhatsApp and of behaving improperly with her in the office. The police will take further action in the matter.

The woman said her DPSS used to look at her with ill intent. According to her, he had been sending her obscene WhatsApp messages for the past six months. She said the problem did not stop even after she complained. She had also complained to the station master.

According to the woman, nobody paid attention. She then told MNS workers about her problem. She said the MNS workers helped her.

It is said that the woman had been suffering harassment from a senior officer for the past six months. She had sought help from office-bearers of the MNS Railway Kamgar Sena. MNS workers then reached Kalyan railway station and entered the deputy station master's cabin. A heated argument and a scuffle followed. During this, the MNS workers beat up the railway's DPSS severely.

The beating caused panic among his fellow employees. A video of the assault has gone viral on social media.

After the incident, the railway police detained the MNS workers. Separately, a case has been registered at Kalyan Railway Police Station against the railway officer concerned on the woman employee's complaint. The police have detained the station master for questioning.
