Saifai teacher suspended after video shows him drumming on bald pupil's head like a tabla

A teacher at the Barauli primary school in Saifai, Uttar Pradesh, has been suspended after a video of him in class went viral on social media. In the video, the teacher is seen drumming his hands on the head of a pupil with a shaved head, as if playing a tabla. Action was taken against him soon after the video spread.

The teacher is reported to be Dinesh Kumar Mathur. In the video, he is seen rubbing and tapping the boy's head vigorously while other children sitting nearby laugh. Teasing a classmate over a shaved head is common among children, and instead of teaching them better, the teacher was seen making fun of the pupil himself.

The video is said to have been shared by the teacher himself on his X account, after which it spread widely. People began criticising the school and the teacher, and he was then suspended.

The video was also shared on Instagram, with a caption describing the incident. Many users commented on it. One user wrote, "Shameless man, and he is a teacher." Another wrote that the teacher should have his own head shaved and be treated the same way, with the whole school watching, making reels and laughing, adding that this was the punishment he deserved.
