A row had broken out over a photograph of students with half-cut hair at the government tribal ashram school in Jambhulghat, Chimur. Following this, Additional Commissioner Ayushi Singh arrived at the ashram school unannounced and thoroughly inspected its arrangements.

She personally looked at the facilities for students, the food arrangements and the atmosphere at the school. During the inspection, a girl student said to her, "Madam, please eat with us." Accepting the girl's affectionate request, the additional commissioner sat down and had the meal with the children.

She spoke directly to the children about the quality of the food, the facilities available to students, the living arrangements and their day-to-day problems. It showed that the administration tried to understand the real conditions at the ashram school rather than rely only on paperwork.

The issue of factionalism within the ashram school was also taken up seriously during the visit. According to the information available, the additional commissioner gave a clear and stern warning that everyone should set aside mutual disputes and work together over the next 15 days, failing which action would be taken against those concerned. This makes it clear that the administration is now treating the school's internal quarrels seriously.

On one hand, the additional commissioner showed a sensitive face of the administration by eating with the children and listening to their problems. On the other, the mystery of how the half-cut hair photograph got out, and questions about factionalism at the school, remain. Parents are now watching how far the inquiry into the photograph's origin goes and how much the atmosphere at the school changes in 15 days.

It is being said that on October 3 the students' hair was being cut. During this, the trimmer's battery ran out and the haircuts of some students were left incomplete. But in this very condition, the children's photograph left a mobile phone and reached the media directly, raising several questions.

There is a demand for answers to who took the photograph, from whose mobile phone it went out and how it reached the media. A written request has been submitted to the administration seeking an inquiry into the role of the person who took and circulated the photograph. Action has already been taken against the headmaster and the superintendent, so it is now also being asked what role the teacher who circulated the photograph played, and that this too should be investigated.
