Gadchandur college holds guidance session on competitive exams for students
Savitribai Phule Junior College in Gadchandur organised a programme on 9 October to familiarise students with competitive exams and administrative careers.

A competitive examination guidance programme was held at Savitribai Phule Junior College in Gadchandur on Friday, 9 October 2026. The aim was to help students recognise competitive examinations, build awareness about them and study in a planned manner with the goal of working in various administrative posts later. Students took part in the programme actively.
College principal Sanjay Gadge presided over the programme. Dnyaneshwar Dhote, principal of Prerana Administrative College, Gadchandur, was the chief guide. Prof. Dinkarrao Zade, head of the junior college, and Prof. Sojwal Taksande, head of the science department, were also present.
The programme began in the presence of the dignitaries. In his introductory address, Prof. Zade outlined the programme and introduced the guests.
Dhote explained to the students the importance of competitive examinations and spoke about the opportunities available in various government and administrative services. He said that to succeed in competitive examinations it is necessary to set a goal from the start, study regularly and consistently, read current affairs, build general knowledge and manage time well.
He also said that in today's competitive era, students should not depend only on a degree or marks. They should widen their knowledge, cultivate a habit of reading and learn about the syllabus of different competitive examinations. He expressed the hope that with proper guidance, hard work, self-confidence and consistency, students can succeed in the administrative field. He also appealed to students to choose a career direction of their liking and begin the necessary preparation from their college days.
In his presidential address, Principal Gadge spoke of the need for such guidance programmes for the all-round development of students. He said competitive examination guidance programmes are important in building a competitive outlook, self-confidence and determination to achieve goals among students. He appealed to students to benefit from the guidance and plan their future path well. The guidance of the dignitaries gave students important information on preparing for competitive examinations, career planning and opportunities in administrative services.
Prof. Shilpa Kolhe conducted the programme. In the vote of thanks, Prof. Dr Rajesh Bole thanked the dignitaries, teachers and students present.
Prof. Satarkar, Prof. Zaheer, Prof. Surpam, Prof. Tekade, Prof. Meherkure, Prof. Dafade, Ku. Snehal Chandekar and Shashikant Bhau, along with all the teachers, non-teaching staff and students of the junior college, worked hard to make the programme a success. The programme, which gave students the right direction on competitive examinations and built a positive outlook towards future careers, concluded in an enthusiastic atmosphere.
