The release date of Nitesh Tiwari's film 'Ramayana' has changed once again. The film has been the subject of talk for the past two years. Its big cast has raised audience curiosity, and everyone is waiting for it. The date of its overseas release has now been revised again.
The film was earlier to release overseas on November 6. However, the official YouTube channel of Sony Pictures Germany has announced that 'Ramayana' will now reach theatres across the world a day earlier, on November 5, 2026. Films are released overseas on Fridays, which is why November 6 had been fixed earlier.
The makers have not yet officially said when the film will come out in India. Producer Namit Malhotra had said in an interview that the film could reach audiences at an auspicious time during Diwali. According to preliminary information, the film will release in India during Diwali. It appears the plan is for the film to arrive overseas first and in India afterwards.
This is not just a film but the biggest project in the history of Indian cinema. Its budget is reported to be Rs 4,000 crore. No film of such a large budget has been made in India so far, so the release will be equally big. According to information received, the film will run on more than 59,000 screens worldwide, which would be a record in itself. Earlier, the official trailer was released in India on July 30 at 4:15 am, during Brahma Muhurta. This shows how important the film is considered to be.
The film's biggest strength is its star cast. Ranbir Kapoor plays Lord Ram and Sai Pallavi is Sita. Yash, of KGF fame, plays Ravana, while Sunny Deol is Hanuman. Ravie Dubey plays Lakshman, and Marathi actor Adinath Kothare will be seen as Bharat. Arun Govil plays King Dasharatha, Indira Krishnan is Queen Kaushalya, Lara Dutta plays Kaikeyi and Sheeba Chaddha is Manthara.
It is an achievement in itself for such a large and experienced team to come together in one film. Audiences are especially keen to see Sunny Deol as Hanuman. All eyes are also on how Yash will play Ravana.
The release date has moved by a day, but audience excitement has not diminished. All eyes are now on the Diwali date, when the grand film will reach audiences in India.
