Row over car horn leaves young woman and another man injured in Nagpur
Two separate disputes over horn-blowing on October 3 left two people injured in Nagpur, and police have registered assault cases in both.
Nagpur: Two people, including a young woman, were injured in disputes over something as minor as blowing a car horn. The incidents took place within the limits of the MIDC and Dhantoli police stations.
Neeta Deotale, a resident of Hingna Road, was walking near her house with her two daughters after dinner on the night of October 3. A blue car suddenly passed by, its driver blowing the horn loudly. Seeing this, Neeta advised the driver to drive properly instead of blowing the horn. This angered the driver and his sisters, Chanda and Soni. They abused Neeta and her daughters and began beating them. Neeta's daughter Tejaswini was injured when she was hit on the head with an iron rod. MIDC police have registered a case of assault against the car driver and his sisters.
In the second incident, Anil Kumar Pathak, 45, a resident of Seminary Hills, was walking past the Indian Gymkhana in Dhantoli on the night of October 3. Two youths, identified as Genda and Sahu, passed by on a motorcycle. Pathak moved to the side of the road when they blew the horn. Even so, the two accused on the bike abused Pathak. They attacked him with stones and sticks and injured him. Dhantoli police have registered a case of assault against the accused.
