TVS Motor Company has added new safety and utility features to its popular Raider 125 motorcycle. The SXC DD and TFT DD variants of the 2026 TVS Raider 125 now get a traction control system (TCS), emergency brake warning and a 27W USB Type-C fast charger. According to the company's claim, it is the first motorcycle in the 125cc segment to offer traction control. The company wants the update to attract riders who value smart features along with safety in their daily commute.
The traction control system is particularly useful when the rear wheel loses grip because of wet roads, gravel or potholes. It helps reduce the risk of the wheel slipping. The feature can prove useful while riding in the rainy season or on bad roads. The emergency brake warning signals drivers of vehicles behind when the brakes are applied suddenly, which can help them react in time. A wider rear tyre and the 27W USB Type-C charger are also part of the update.
The ex-showroom, Delhi price of the 2026 TVS Raider 125 SXC DD is Rs 1 lakh, while the TFT DD variant costs Rs 1.03 lakh. The earlier prices of these variants, introduced in July 2026, were Rs 93,800 and Rs 95,600 respectively. The new features have raised the price by about Rs 7,000 to Rs 8,000. The updated bikes will be available at authorised TVS dealerships.
The bike retains iGO Assist with Boost Mode, Glide Through Technology and TFT connectivity with more than 99 smart features. Once the TVS SmartXonnect app is connected through Bluetooth, features such as turn-by-turn navigation, call handling and notification management can be used.
There is no change to the engine. Both variants have a 125cc single-cylinder engine that produces 11.2 bhp of power and 11.75 Nm of torque, paired with a 5-speed gearbox. The main change is thus not in the engine but in features that improve safety and convenience. In the Indian market, the bike competes with the Hero Xtreme 125R, Bajaj Pulsar N125 and Honda CB 125 Hornet. It will be important to see how worthwhile buyers of the Raider 125 find the higher price for the new features.
