Travel needs differ in every city, village and locality of India. Some people need a scooter to get to the office, some want new features to move around the city quickly, and some families need more storage for everyday use. Keeping this difference in mind, Ampere has come up with the 'Built for Bharat' concept. Through the company's 'Bharat Anek' campaign, the emphasis is on choosing an electric scooter to suit the varied lifestyles of Indian customers.

The first is the Ampere Magnus Neo, an option for those who use a scooter for office, college, a nearby market or household errands. It comes with a 3.5-inch LCD display, reverse assist, riding modes and an LED headlight and taillight. According to the company's claim, it has a range of up to 125 km on a single charge and a top speed of 65 km/h. Charging from 0 to 80 per cent takes about 5 hours. The model received the 'Best Affordable EV of the Year' award on March 18, 2025.

The second is the Ampere Nexus, which is described as meant for riders who commute regularly in the city and value technology. It has a 6.2-inch display, navigation, geofencing, an anti-theft alarm and call and SMS alerts. According to the company, its range is 136 km and its top speed 93 km/h. Charging from 0 to 80 per cent takes 3 hours 10 minutes. It received the 'Electric Scooter of the Year' award in 2025.

The third is the Ampere Magnus G Max, which is described as designed with family use in mind. When several people in a household ride a scooter, storage and range become important. It has a 3 kWh battery, 33 litres of underseat storage, a 5-inch PMVA display, navigation and a USB charging port. The company claims it can run up to 142 km on a single charge and has a top speed of 65 km/h. Charging from 0 to 80 per cent takes about 5 hours 45 minutes. The model received the 'Family Scooter of the Year' award on May 15, 2026.

So what does 'Built for Bharat' suggest? That every customer's need is different. The Magnus Neo can be considered for daily commuting, the Nexus for higher speed and connected features, and the Magnus G Max for storage and family use. While choosing a scooter, do not rely only on the range stated by the company. Daily distance, charging facilities, price and the service network also need to be checked. Actual range can vary with road conditions, speed, weight and riding style.
