A video showing a newly married bride giving her husband the slip and running away with her boyfriend in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh, is going viral on social media. The newlywed couple had gone to see a zoo, and the incident took place there. The husband has been left badly shaken.
According to the available information, the bride had come to the zoo with her husband. While leaving, however, she went away with her boyfriend. Seeing that her husband was going to park the vehicle, she seized the chance and, within a few seconds, left on her boyfriend's bike. The video shows the entire sequence clearly. The boyfriend rides the two-wheeler so fast that it is out of sight within seconds.
The husband had gone to park his scooter and so did not realise that his wife had left. When she suddenly vanished, he wrongly assumed that his wife was lost, and went to a police station, where he registered a complaint that his wife was missing. The real story, however, emerged later.
The couple are reportedly residents of Shivpuri in Madhya Pradesh. To trace the wife, and to establish why and how this happened so soon after the wedding, the police began examining CCTV footage and mobile location data. The investigation revealed that the bride was not missing but had run away with her boyfriend.
The video was shared from an Instagram account named @unscripted.india_ and is currently trending on social media. Many users have commented, reacting to the strange incident. One user said, "There are very bright people in this country." Another wrote, "Wow, this is the latest news." Yet another wrote, "This is what happens when the family forces a marriage."
