Korpana taluka holds workshop on Mera Gaon Arogya Sampanna Gaon campaign in Gadchandur

The taluka-level workshop of Korpana under the Mera Gaon Arogya Sampanna Gaon campaign was held on October 7 at the Balaji Sabhagruh in Gadchandur.

Korpana Block Development Officer Shrikant Bobde, who is also chairman of the campaign's taluka-level committee, was present. He was joined by Manisha Pachbhai, Women and Child Welfare Officer of Korpana, and Dr Kishor Bhattacharya, a district-level official and medical officer (communicable diseases).

Jitendra Bais, project manager of the Ambuja Foundation, Upparwahi, also attended. He is a member of the Korpana taluka-level Arogya Sampanna Gaon committee. Dr Mahesh Lokare, chief medical officer at the Occupational Health Centre of UltraTech Cement Works, Awarpur, and Dr Pravin Yerme, medical superintendent of the rural hospital, were also present. Korpana Taluka Health Officer Dr Swapnil Tembhe, who is secretary of the Mera Gaon Arogya Sampanna Gaon taluka-level committee, was there as well.

All medical officers, health workers, male and female health attendants and gram panchayat officers attended. Officials and staff of the Rashtriya Bal Swasthya Karyakram, the mobile medical unit and the filariasis (elephantiasis) department took part, as did officials and staff of the urban Arogya Vardhini Kendra, Anganwadi supervisors, ASHA group promoters and ASHA workers.

Dr Sarla Rangari, medical officer at Kawthala, presented the introduction to the workshop. Jitendra Bais gave guidance on coordination between government and the corporate sector, and on public-private partnership.

Staff were divided into groups, and each group held a discussion. The aim of the group discussion was stated to be building a sense of federal spirit. Participants were briefed on the action taken so far under the campaign, and the plan for the next six months was also presented. The government resolution was read out and reiterated.

The workshop was conducted by health worker Kalpak Thamke. Dr Shalini Taron, medical officer at Mandwa Primary Health Centre, proposed the vote of thanks.

Bhagyawan Kande, Satish Pandhre, Lavkush Jadhav, Sandeep Kamble, Rajesh Hiremath, Dnyaneshwar Kapale, Kunal Luthade and Prajwal Taksande of the Taluka Health Officer's office helped make the event a success.
