Bank of Baroda invites applications for four senior IT posts on contract; last date November 17

Bank of Baroda has announced a recruitment drive for aspirants seeking jobs in a public sector bank. However, the vacancies are not for clerks or probationary officers (PO). They are for senior posts in the bank's information technology department.

The bank needs experienced professionals in areas such as artificial intelligence (AI), cloud computing and technology management. Selected candidates will initially be engaged on a three-year contract, which may be extended if their performance is good and the bank requires it. It is therefore a good opportunity for experienced people already working in IT.

Four posts are open. The first is Deputy Chief Technology Officer (Dy. CTO), who will be responsible for the bank's technical systems, digital platforms and IT policy. The second is Head AI, which involves applying artificial intelligence and machine learning technology to banking services. The third is Deputy Head Cloud CoE, which involves managing cloud computing systems and technical infrastructure. The fourth is Deputy Head Platform Engineering, who will be responsible for the development and management of the bank's digital platforms and engineering systems.

On eligibility, the Deputy CTO must hold a BE/BTech or MCA degree in a relevant engineering discipline, with at least 15 years of relevant experience, including at least three years at senior management level.

The Head AI must hold a BE/BTech or MCA degree in computer science, IT or a related discipline. A total of 12 years of experience is required, of which at least six years must be in AI, NLP and content analysis.

The Deputy Head Cloud must also hold a BE/BTech or MCA degree in a relevant engineering discipline and have at least 10 years of experience, of which five must be in cloud computing. The Deputy Head Platform Engineering needs a BE/BTech or MCA degree in a relevant discipline and at least 10 years of technical experience.

Candidates should understand the contract terms before applying. The appointment will initially be for three years. Under the bank's rules, it can be extended year by year based on good performance and the bank's requirements, but the total tenure cannot exceed five years. This is not a regular public sector bank job but a fixed-term contract appointment.
