Antyodaya Public School in Devgram organised 'ROOTED & READY - Aaj Ki Maa, Aaj Ke Bacche' to discuss the challenges of bringing up children and practical ways to handle them.
Antyodaya Public School in Devgram held a special workshop for mothers titled 'ROOTED & READY - Aaj Ki Maa, Aaj Ke Bacche'. The aim was to discuss openly the difficulties of raising children today and to arrive at simple ways of dealing with them.
Dr Shazia Khan, an experienced educationist and trainer, was the resource person for the session. She spoke about how the needs of parenting are changing with the times, how children's behaviour is changing, and what difficulties mothers face while bringing up children in a fast-changing environment.
The workshop also aimed to help mothers understand the needs of the new generation better, and to give them useful techniques for handling situations that come up repeatedly in everyday parenting.
The session was marked by open conversation. Dr Khan laid particular stress on understanding children's emotional and developmental needs. She spoke on the challenges of parenting today and ways of tackling them. Mothers were asked to adopt a balanced and supportive approach in raising their children.
The mothers also had a chance to discuss among themselves, which gave them practical ideas they can try in daily life.
The workshop was organised by headmistress Shahzad Qazi. Associate Director Dr Kalyani Bhongade, members of the school staff and mothers of students attended. Aniket Gedam conducted the programme, and Sardhana Avasarmol proposed the vote of thanks.
The participating mothers responded well to the initiative. They liked the engaging discussion and praised the practical lessons they received.
The initiative shows that the school wants to strengthen the relationship between parents and teachers and to raise awareness of present-day parenting practices. Through programmes such as 'ROOTED & READY', Antyodaya Public School has been underlining the importance of parents' involvement in all-round development of children.
