Police in Talodhi (Ba), Chandrapur district, have recovered a stolen Bajaj Pulsar motorcycle and arrested one accused in the case. The recovered bike is worth about Rs 80,000. Talodhi (Ba) police laid a trap at Valni on October 13, 2026, and took the 21-year-old accused into custody.

The motorcycle was stolen on August 30, 2026. Sudhir Sudhakar Suryawanshi, 30, a resident of Badakbodi (Ward No. 2, Talodhi, Nagbhid tehsil), had parked his Bajaj Pulsar (registration MH 34 CN 5043) in the yard in front of his house at around 9 pm that night. When he came out at around 11 am the next day, the vehicle was not where he had left it.

Suryawanshi searched for it all around but could not find it, and became convinced that an unknown thief had taken it. He then went to the police and lodged a complaint at Talodhi police station on September 1, 2026.

On the basis of this complaint, Talodhi police registered a case under Section 303 (2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) as crime number 239/2026 and began an investigation.

During the investigation, police went through CCTV footage from the area and also used information from their secret informants. On the basis of both, police concluded that the theft was committed by Vikas Shankar Gundi, 21, a resident of Valni, Nagbhid tehsil. However, the accused kept moving from place to place and eluded police for several days.

Finally, on October 13, 2026, police received reliable information that the accused, Vikas Gundi, was coming to Valni. Police immediately laid a trap there and caught him in the presence of panch witnesses. The stolen Bajaj Pulsar, worth Rs 80,000, was also seized from him.

The action was carried out under the guidance of Sahil Jharkar, sub-divisional police officer, Brahmapuri. Assistant Police Inspector Rahul Guhe, station house officer of Talodhi police station, Sub-Inspector Rajesh Undirwade, police constable Sandesh Devgade, Akshay Hatwar and Pawan Akare took part in the operation.
