3,410 Chandrapur farmers in third loan waiver list; district urges Aadhaar authentication
The third list under the Punyashlok Ahilyadevi Holkar Shetkari Karjmukti Yojana 2026 covers 3,410 eligible farmers in Chandrapur district, and the administration has asked them to check names and complete Aadhaar authentication.
The third list for Chandrapur district under the Punyashlok Ahilyadevi Holkar Farmers' Loan Waiver Scheme 2026 has been received. It includes 3,410 eligible farmers of the district. The state government released the list on October 12.
Of the 3,410 farmers on the list, 312 are customers of the Chandrapur District Central Cooperative Bank. The remaining 3,098 hold loans with nationalised banks. The district administration has appealed to farmers to check their names and complete Aadhaar authentication.
The Maharashtra government started the scheme under a Government Resolution dated June 2, 2026. Crop loans disbursed between April 1, 2019 and March 31, 2025, overdue as on September 30, 2025 and not repaid by March 31, 2026, as well as restructured and re-restructured loans, will get a waiver of up to Rs 2 lakh.
The scheme is being implemented through MahaIT on an online computerised system. Banks across the state have uploaded details of a total of 31.17 lakh overdue loan accounts to the scheme's portal. Accordingly, the first list of 16.96 lakh farmers in the state was released on July 24, 2026. The second list of 4.20 lakh farmers came on September 11, 2026, while the third list of 3.51 lakh farmers in the state was released on October 12, 2026.
The names of the 3,410 farmers in Chandrapur district's third list will be displayed at the concerned bank branches, village-level cooperative societies and gram panchayats. Farmers should check their names there and verify their loan arrears as on March 31, 2026. They should then visit the nearest Aaple Sarkar Seva Kendra and complete Aadhaar authentication.
Eligible farmers on this list will get the benefit of a complete loan waiver. Interest and other charges after April 1, 2026 will also be waived. Some farmers of nationalised and commercial banks owe more than Rs 2 lakh as on March 31, 2026, but their loan accounts will be cleared to zero under the government's "haircut" policy.
After eligible farmers complete Aadhaar authentication, the waiver amount will be credited to their loan accounts. All 3,410 farmers on the third list should therefore check their names and get Aadhaar authentication done, the district administration has appealed, District Deputy Registrar (Cooperative Societies) Jaysingh Thakur has said.
