BJP launches street play 'Namo Seva Gatha' on Modi's 25 years in public life at Mumbai's KC College
Maharashtra BJP president Ravindra Chavan launched the street play in Mumbai under the party's nationwide 'Seva Sankalp Abhiyan'.
To mark 25 years of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in public life, the Bharatiya Janata Party is running a 'Seva Sankalp Abhiyan' across the country. Several programmes are being held under the campaign. Their aim is to take the inspiring story of service, dedication, patriotism and good governance in Modi's life journey to ordinary people.
As part of this campaign, the street play 'Namo Seva - Unheard Stories' was launched in Maharashtra at KC College in Mumbai. BJP Maharashtra president Ravindra Chavan was the chief guest. The artistes who performed the play and the organisers were felicitated on the occasion.
The initiative aims to take the struggle, spirit of service, devotion to the nation and public service of Prime Minister Modi's public life effectively to people through street theatre. Artistes from Pimpri-Chinchwad will present inspiring episodes from Modi's life in different parts of Maharashtra through the play.
Under the plan, one large performance will be held in every district by October 15, 2026, while at least 10 street play performances will be organised in every Assembly constituency. This will take the play to audiences on a large scale across the state. New artistes will also get a chance to spread public awareness and social messages.
Chavan said, "The character of respected Prime Minister Narendra Modi teaches us service, good governance, dedication and patriotism. 'Namo Seva Gatha' is a commendable initiative to bring such inspiring moments of his life to people's hearts through street theatre." He added that just as the film 'Hanuman Ansh', made by new artistes, set records, the street play 'Namo Seva Gatha' would also set records. He expressed this confidence on the occasion.
Maharashtra Cultural Affairs Minister Ashish Shelar, Assembly Speaker Rahul Narwekar, BJP Mumbai president Amit Satam, Mumbai Mayor Ritu Tawde, and BJP state general secretaries Niranjan Davkhare and Amit Gorkhe were present at the launch. Party office-bearers, workers and a large number of citizens also attended.
