The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) held its traditional Vijayadashami festival at Reshimbagh ground in Nagpur, where Sangh chief Dr Mohan Bhagwat delivered the address. He praised India's growing global standing and also warned of external and internal forces trying to destabilise the country. Bhagwat said plainly that demonic forces that spread chaos in the world to serve their own interests cannot digest India's progress.

Bhagwat said all those present understood this well, yet he was repeating it because the atmosphere was, or was being made, such that even sensible people could be unsettled. According to him, a storm has risen from the West, with a demonic resolve to destroy and devastate whatever civility, auspiciousness, cultural and humane values exist in India and across the world.

He said even the so-called advanced countries of the world were troubled and helpless before this storm. According to Bhagwat, over the past decades India has gradually made its place in the world on the strength of its power and sound ethics. He said the country was succeeding in every field as the Indian society's effort, strong policies, leadership, national pride and sense of responsibility towards the world had awakened.

Bhagwat said India's progress would end the game of those forces that create chaos in other countries and plot to install their own puppets there to fulfil their interests. He said these demonic forces know this reality, which is why India is their decisive and strongest rival, and also their last and most important target.

The Sangh chief said these forces plan carefully how to break India, Hindu society and the Sangh. According to him, they find some people of their own kind to help them, and some ambitious leaders in the country also join in because of petty lust for power and lack of judgment.

Referring to the protests being held by the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) and the Opposition, Bhagwat said that in so large a society there are problems and the system must have many shortcomings. Agitations because of these are natural, but agitations should be meant to provide solutions, he said.

He appealed that whether it is a group in society that is agitating, or the government, administration or a political leader acting to maintain peace and order, everyone must ensure that their actions do not create discord, hatred, bitterness or division in a united society. Bhagwat said that even when emotions run high, our actions should remain within the limits of the Constitution and the law, and within the bounds of civil conduct.

Bhagwat also said we must take care that the lure of votes, cheap popularity or political gain does not overpower our judgment and goodwill. Finally, he said it has not been the experience that all of society's problems can be solved only by the government, or only through agitations. According to him, problems can also be resolved through the activism of society and dialogue among its members.
