Bhagwat praises pilot Capt Smit Machhar's courage as 'Hindu nature' at RSS Vijayadashami event in Nagpur

Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat praised the courage of Indian pilot Captain Smit Machhar at the organisation's Vijayadashami programme in Nagpur. Bhagwat said that what Captain Machhar did was the Hindu nature.

Bhagwat lauded the presence of mind of Captain Machhar, the Indian pilot of a flydubai aircraft, during a dangerous emergency in the air. Referring to the quick thinking he showed, Bhagwat called it the "Hindu nature". He also said that strong values come to one's aid in difficult times even without any special training.

Bhagwat said all of us Indians are one. According to him, what matters more than whether the country will give us something is what we will do for the country. He said it is necessary to have strength and to be powerful. He added that when the Sangh speaks of a strong Hindu society, it includes all faiths, sects and ideas.

According to Bhagwat, it was in this spirit that Captain Machhar showed courage and took the step. He said that the step was not taken after deliberation but came from his nature and conduct.

Continuing, the Sangh chief said that people ready to create quarrels among us over small matters are waiting, and we should be wary of them. Bhagwat said that when any incident occurs in the country, allegations are made against the Sangh as well. According to him, the Sangh has nothing to do with those incidents and does not support them either, yet some people raise questions to create doubt about the Sangh's integrity.

Bhagwat said the foundation of the Sangh's work is pure, sattvik love. He said this love is not for any particular caste or religion but for the entire Hindu society, and that a Hindu means one who loves the whole world. He said the Sangh will keep working to unite and organise the entire Hindu society.
