Nagpur Crime Branch Unit-4 has solved a burglary at a locked house in the Belatrodi police station area and arrested two accused. The incident took place at Sai Krupa Society in Narendra Nagar. According to police, the accused allegedly stole goods worth about Rs 4.48 lakh, including gold and silver jewellery. Stolen property worth around Rs 3 lakh has been recovered from them. Both have been handed over to Belatrodi police for further action.

Police said Dhaval Kadu, a professor, lives in Sai Krupa Society with his mother. On October 3 he had gone with her to Pune, where his brother lives. No one was at home. In the meantime, unidentified accused broke into the locked house and carried out the theft.

Belatrodi police began an investigation after receiving a complaint. CCTV footage was examined and the accused's earlier criminal records were also used, with the help of which police were able to identify them.

The arrested are Pawan Kumar alias Aalu Bhosle, a resident of Ajni, and Sandesh alias Sanghpal alias Sandhya Raju Pandagale, a resident of Sudama Nagri in Ambazari.

According to police, the two had gone near KDK College looking to sell the stolen goods when the Crime Branch Unit-4 team caught them. Stolen goods worth about Rs 3 lakh were recovered from them during the search and subsequent action.

Police said Pawan Kumar Bhosle has three murder cases registered against him. Sandesh Pandagale is reported to have 30 theft cases and one case of gang rape registered against him.

Police said the two got to know each other in jail. Reportedly, after a quarrel with his wife over household expenses, Pawan met his old associate Sandesh. The two then drank liquor and allegedly carried out the burglary.

After arresting the two accused, Crime Branch Unit-4 handed them over to Belatrodi police for further action. Police are now looking into other aspects of the burglary. Further legal proceedings regarding the recovered goods and the role of the accused are under way.
