The Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) is to hold an agitation in Delhi tomorrow, October 10. Ahead of it, all major trains headed for Delhi have been cancelled, and tight security has been put in place on key roads. Despite this, CJP president Abhijeet Dipke and party spokespersons Ashutosh Ranka and Saurav Das are reported to have set out for Delhi by train. Speaking to the media as he left, Dipke targeted the Centre.

Dipke said, "What are you so afraid of? If you are so scared, shut down the whole country. I find it amusing. Is Delhi the property of Narendra Modi and Amit Shah's home? Protests cause you trouble, so you shut the Metro, you shut the railways, and now you have shut the roads too. Will ordinary people not suffer?" He alleged that the Centre was putting ordinary citizens in difficulty by shutting down trains and the Metro.

Dipke also spoke on the questions of arrest and permission. He said, "How many people will you arrest? Arrest me. Saurav Das and Ashutosh Ranka are also ready." Asked whether he had permission, he asked in return whether Gyanesh Kumar had sought permission when deleting 13 crore votes, and whether the Supreme Court had permitted changes to Form 6. Dipke said that if Gyanesh Kumar deleted 13 crore votes without asking anyone, there was no need for permission to protest against him. He said Article 19 of the Constitution gives the right to protest and that Jantar Mantar is the authorised place for protests.

Dipke also said, "The government is scared, that is why it has shut down the railways; the dictator is scared. The government is serious, that is why it has shut down the Metro and the railways. Narendra Modi and Amit Shah should check their blood pressure every day. They are afraid of the CJP's agitation. Why is Gyanesh Kumar so important? The king's life is in the parrot, and that parrot is Gyanesh Kumar. If he is caught, the king will have to go too."

Meanwhile, Delhi Police has asked the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) to close the entry and exit gates of 57 Metro stations in the capital. It has also asked for train frequency to be reduced at some places. The arrangement may begin at 9 pm on Friday and continue until the situation returns to normal on October 10. The list includes major stations such as Rajiv Chowk, Central Secretariat, Patel Chowk, Janpath, New Delhi, Mandi House, ITO and Kashmere Gate.

The railways has also ordered the cancellation of mail and express trains arriving at New Delhi and Hazrat Nizamuddin stations from 4 am to 2 pm on October 10. It cited the likelihood of heavy traffic jams around the two stations.
