The investigation into the firing on actor Tiger Shroff's car in Juhu, Mumbai, has intensified. Key information has emerged about the motorcycle used in the attack. Police questioning has reportedly revealed that the Pulsar bike the attackers used for the firing was bought for just Rs 25,000.
The money for the bike had reportedly been fully paid, but the transfer of ownership papers was held up because of Navratri.
According to the information available, the Pulsar was initially registered in the name of a man from Jogeshwari. This first owner sold it to another person, and from that person it passed to a third owner. The accused then bought the bike from this third owner for Rs 25,000.
All the sale transactions had been completed, and the third owner had received the agreed amount. But the RC book and other legal documents were yet to be put in the new owner's name. As it was Navratri, it had been agreed that the paperwork would be completed later, the information suggests.
The bike had thus actually been bought, but the transfer of ownership had not been recorded in the papers. For this reason, police got an important lead while tracing the bike after the firing. The investigation has reportedly found that the accused used this very bike to fire at Tiger Shroff's car.
The bike is still registered in the name of the earlier owner. Mumbai Police have therefore taken that man into custody for questioning, it is reported. Police are trying to establish from whom the bike was bought, how it reached the accused and who else played a role in the deal.
Using this chain of sales and the information from the people concerned, police are trying to reach another possible mastermind in the firing case. Attention now turns to what else the investigation uncovers.
