Three men suspected of involvement in the firing on actor Tiger Shroff's car in Mumbai's Juhu area have been detained from Kota railway station in Rajasthan. Two of them are said to be from Haryana and one from Bihar.

After the incident, Mumbai Police formed special teams for the investigation. Shroff had a narrow escape during the firing, but his driver and a passer-by were injured. Police are now looking into the real reason for the attack, whether the accused had carried out a recce earlier, and how much truth there is in an alleged claim of responsibility that surfaced on social media.

The incident took place around 7 pm on Sunday near Pushpa Narsee Park in Juhu. Bullets are said to have been fired towards the actor's car. While the actor escaped, his driver and a passer-by standing nearby were hit.

According to police, the attackers fired five rounds in all. Shroff's driver, Firdaus, was shot in the left hand. The passer-by, identified as Umesh Chavan, was also hurt. Both were admitted to hospital for treatment.

After the shooting, Mumbai Police formed 15 teams to trace the accused. Mumbai Police and the Crime Branch are jointly investigating the case. The three suspects have now been detained from Kota. Two are said to be from Haryana and one from Bihar.

Police are also examining whether the accused inspected the spot before the attack, whether they were keeping track of the actor's movements, and whether anyone else is involved in the conspiracy.

Cases have reportedly been registered under Sections 109(1) and 3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and Sections 3 and 25 of the Arms Act.

Police suspect the accused carried out a recce of the area before the firing. Shroff reportedly comes to this park every Sunday to play football for about two hours, so police are also checking whether the accused knew his routine.

A police officer said the accused may have followed the actor and waited outside the gate until he reached the park. However, this is part of the investigation and no final conclusion has emerged yet.

After the incident, a social media post appeared claiming responsibility for the attack on behalf of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. Police are verifying the post. There has been no official confirmation so far that the attack has any link to the Bishnoi gang.

Police also said Shroff had not earlier filed any complaint about threatening phone calls. Questioning of the detained suspects, the motive behind the firing and the search for possible accomplices will be key parts of the probe.

The detention of the three suspects has given the investigation an important lead. Police are still awaiting official findings on the accused's roles, the reason for the attack and any possible link to a group.
