13 fall ill after eating leftover food at Kotgaon in Chandrapur, admitted to Chimur hospital

A case of food poisoning has come to light in Kotgaon in Chimur taluka of Chandrapur district. Thirteen people fell ill after eating stale food left over from a public event. The incident has caused alarm across the village, and people are fearful.
According to the information available, a public event was held in Kotgaon. After it ended, some people ate the food that was left over. Soon afterwards, several people suddenly began to feel unwell. Seeing severe symptoms of food poisoning, the affected people went immediately to the primary health centre at Jambhulghat.
Considering the seriousness of the patients' condition, the doctors there promptly referred all of them to the sub-district hospital at Chimur for further treatment. The patients were thus first taken to the primary health centre at Jambhulghat and shifted from there to the Chimur sub-district hospital.
On learning of the incident, Dr Ashwin Agde, superintendent of the Chimur sub-district hospital, admitted all 13 patients. Treatment was started immediately with the help of a medical team. A team of doctors and nurses is currently keeping a close watch on the condition of all the patients.
Dr Agde said that of the 13 patients under treatment, 10 have improved considerably. Three patients still have fever. According to Dr Agde, treatment of all the patients is proceeding well.
The 13 people fell ill from eating the food left over after the event in Kotgaon. The incident has brought the question of food safety into discussion once again.
