TCS win fourth straight; KPIT beat Barclays by 8 wickets in Pune corporate cricket league

The first Pune's Corporate Clash Cricket League 2026 is being played at the Verock Vengsarkar cricket ground in Thergaon. In the league stage, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) maintained their form and recorded a fourth straight win. In the second match, KPIT beat Barclays by 8 wickets for their second win of the tournament.

In the first match of the day, TCS won the toss, batted first and piled up 222 for 8 in 20 overs. Opener Vikrant Bangar hit an aggressive 83 off just 44 balls, with 9 fours and 5 sixes. He found good support from Vishal Pawar and Uday Galande. Pawar made 42 off 15 balls with 3 fours and 4 sixes, while Galande remained not out on 41 off 22 balls with 2 fours and 3 sixes. Shoaib Mirza contributed 19. For ARAI, Nikhil Mandke took 3 wickets for 37 and Vikas Sathe took 2 for 36.

Chasing 223, ARAI could manage only 107 for 3 in 20 overs. Kunal P. scored a half-century, 50 off 40 balls with 8 fours and a six, while Pratik Shelar made 24. Under the pressure of the climbing required run rate, TCS won the match by a big margin of 115 runs. For TCS, Sunil Babar took 2 wickets for 38. Vikrant Bangar, who impressed with both bat and ball, was named player of the match.

In the second match, Barclays' innings collapsed like a pack of cards against the fast bowling of KPIT's Sudhir Kale. Barclays managed only 103 for 9 in 20 overs. Irshad Baig made 33 and Rahul Agarwal 28, while the other batters failed to click. Kale took 5 wickets for just 20 runs, while Alok Nagraj took 1 for 14.

KPIT comfortably reached the small target of 104 in only 9.2 overs, scoring 109 for 2. Mangesh Patil played a blistering unbeaten 51 off just 24 balls, with 7 fours and 3 sixes, to make the win easy. Shubham Jhapdekar contributed 28 and Alok Nagraj 12. For Barclays, Piyush Kamble took 1 wicket for 14. Sudhir Kale, who took 5 wickets, was named player of the match.
