Asim Mujawar's unbeaten 85 lifts Phantom Cricket Academy to under-14 title win over Specialized

Phantom Cricket Academy won the title of the Pune Cricket Monsoon Trophy inter-club under-14 tournament held in Pune. In the final, they beat Specialized Sports Club by 53 runs. Asim Mujawar was the hero of the win, playing a fine unbeaten innings of 85.

The tournament was organised by Pune Cricket Academy and Sagar Kamble. The final was played at the Tembhekar Farms ground on Satara Road. Phantom Cricket Academy won the toss and chose to bat first.

The team did not start well. Batters kept falling at short intervals, and Phantom were 65 for eight after 13 overs.

Batting at number nine in these difficult circumstances, Mujawar played aggressively and steadied the innings. He scored an unbeaten 85 off just 42 balls, with 10 fours and five sixes. Tanishk Jadhav supported him with 10 runs. The two added 87 runs for the ninth wicket in 64 balls, and this partnership turned the match. It took Phantom to 176 for nine in 25 overs. According to the scorecard, Asad Pathan made 14. For Specialized, Adesh Raut took two wickets for 36 runs and Sanchit Shinde took two for nine.

Chasing 177 to win, Specialized Sports Club were bowled out for 123 in 19.4 overs. Ishan Mali made 30 and offered some resistance, while Stephen Shirodkar scored 11. Phantom's bowlers, however, bowled accurately to seal the win. Nakul Rathod took three wickets for 13 runs, Raphael Viegas took three for 25, and Tanishk Jadhav took two for 13.

A prize distribution followed the match. Tournament director Sagar Kamble, Specialized coach Sagar Sangle, Phantom coach Akshay Salve, Sham Gogal, Sujal More and Gorakh Wadkar handed over the awards. The winners, Phantom Cricket Academy, and the runners-up, Specialized Sports Club, were honoured with trophies and medals.
