PMPML launches 11 feeder bus routes for Metro Line 3, announces 22 new bus stops

Pune, November 4, 2026: Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Limited (PMPML) has started 11 new feeder bus routes to make it easier to reach metro stations. One existing route has also been extended. The focus is on the Metro Line 3 corridor linking Maan, Hinjewadi and Shivajinagar, which was inaugurated recently.

Metro Line 3 was inaugurated on November 3. The new feeder services began on Wednesday, November 4, the next day. The aim is to give people travelling between residential areas, IT parks and metro stations a last-mile link. Along with these 12 routes, PMPML has also announced 22 new bus stops to make metro stations more convenient to reach.

According to PMPML, the new services will run a total of 25 scheduled buses, making 620 trips.

Among the key routes, Metro Shuttle No. 31 will run between Pimpri Metro Station and Wakad Chowk Metro Station. Metro Shuttle No. 41 will connect Maan MIDC Circle Phase 2 Metro Station with the Nilsoft company and Infosys Phase 3.

The remaining routes will link various residential and commercial locations with metro stations. These include services from Mahalunge village to TCS Maan Metro Station, from TCS Maan Metro Station to Podar International School in Bhoirwadi, from Indira University in Tathawade to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Chowk Metro Station, and from Koyte Vasti in Punawale to Padmabhushan Chowk Metro Station.

Other services will connect Lavale Phata, Blue Ridge Society, Girme Park, Embassy TechZone Parking and Joyvilla Society with different metro stations.

The one existing route that has been extended is Metro Shuttle No. 50, which runs between MITCON Metro Station in Balewadi and Chandegaon.

To strengthen connections with Metro Line 3, PMPML has announced 22 new bus stops by metro station along the corridor. These include TCS/Maan, Maan MIDC Circle Phase 2, Maan Bus Depot, Hinjewadi Phase 2 Circle, Wipro Circle, Padmabhushan Chowk, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Chowk, Hinjewadi Phase 1 and Wakad Chowk.

The list also includes Sports Complex Mahalunge, MITCON Balewadi, R. K. Laxman Sai Chowk, Balewadi High Street, Balewadi Phata, Baner Gaon, Mahabaleshwar Hotel, Baner Phata-Aundh, Sakalnagar, Savitribai Phule Pune University, RBI Bank, Agriculture College and Shivajinagar Metro Station.

PMPML has earlier launched feeder bus services in phases for metro stations in Pune and Pimpri-Chinchwad. With the arrival of Metro Line 3, the transport undertaking has expanded its feeder network further so that people can reach the metro easily.

PMPML has appealed to commuters to use the new feeder bus services.
