Vidarbha beat Jammu and Kashmir by 53 runs in Vinoo Mankad Trophy U-19 opener

Vidarbha began their Under-19 Vinoo Mankad Trophy (one-day) campaign with a win, beating Jammu and Kashmir by 53 runs in an Elite Group C match.
Rain cut the match to 38 overs a side. Batting first, Vidarbha scored 233 for 7. In reply, Jammu and Kashmir were bowled out for 180 in 33.3 overs.
Vidarbha won the toss, chose to bat and made a good start. Captain Kush Sharma hit 58 off 60 balls, with five fours and a six. He added 46 for the first wicket with Aayush Chaudhari (34).
Kush then put on 80 for the second wicket with Arnav Lunge (34), which put the team in a strong position.
Three wickets then fell quickly. Ludhade and Sarvesh Khankar (18) added 40 to steady the innings. Saish Bhise finished with an aggressive unbeaten 60, including seven fours and two sixes, and took Vidarbha to 233.
Jammu and Kashmir also began well in the chase. Rahil Yunis (50) and Shaurya Chauhan (26) added 59 for the first wicket. Arjun Sharma (32) and Ashutosh Mahajan (34) then kept the side in the contest for a while.
Vidarbha's bowlers came back and bowled the side out for 180. Himanshu Kavle bowled superbly, taking 4 wickets for 30 runs. Captain Kush Sharma and Om Ghotre supported him with two wickets each.
Kush Sharma contributed with both bat and ball, while Bhise's unbeaten 60 lifted the total to 233. Vidarbha's batters and bowlers both did their job in the rain-shortened match.
