The smartphone is now an essential device for almost everyone, and its many features make a number of tasks easier. The screen is the most important part of a phone. To keep it from getting scratched or broken, many people fit a tempered glass protector on their phones.
When a phone is dropped or strikes a sharp object, the tempered glass may crack or even shatter. Even so, some people keep using the phone with the same glass. Anyone doing so should take care in time, because a broken tempered glass affects the protection of the phone's screen. Here is what it can do to a smartphone.
First, the protection to the screen is reduced. The main job of tempered glass is to shield the phone's display from scratches and jolts. Once the glass develops a crack, its strength begins to fall. If the phone is then dropped again or takes a hard knock, the display could be damaged. A broken tempered glass may give some protection, but it cannot guarantee the protection it gave earlier. It is therefore best to avoid using a broken tempered glass.
The second major problem is glass fragments. The edges of a broken tempered glass become sharp and stick out. If small pieces of glass come away, they can lodge in your fingers while you use the phone and cause injury.
Third, the touchscreen can also be affected. A broken tempered glass not only reduces the protection of the screen but may also affect the phone's touchscreen. If a part of the glass has come off, or it is pressing on the display, operating the touchscreen may become difficult. The screen's touch response can worsen as a result.
If lines appear on the screen, or the display has any other problem, get the phone checked. Using a broken tempered glass can damage your phone, so always fit a good tempered glass. This improves the phone's protection.
