Indian electric two-wheeler maker Ultraviolette has launched the X-47 Venom for the European market at EICMA 2026, claiming a 343 km IDC range and 155 kmph top speed.

Indian electric two-wheeler company Ultraviolette has launched its new electric motorcycle, the X-47 Venom, for the European market at EICMA 2026. The bike's main highlights are a 343 km IDC range, a top speed of 155 kmph and advanced radar technology.

The company claims it has become the first Indian company to begin retail sales of electric motorcycles in Europe. It had earlier introduced its F77 model in Europe.

The X-47 Venom uses the company's new VX-100 100V architecture. The company's Tesseract maxi scooter is also built on this platform. The bike has SRB-11 battery technology, and the company claims a range of 343 km IDC on a single charge. The bike delivers 40.2 bhp of power and 550 Nm of wheel torque. It has a 1.6 kW onboard charger.

The X-47 Venom also performs well on speed. The electric bike takes just 2.7 seconds to reach 60 kmph from a standstill, and 5.9 seconds to reach 100 kmph. It is fitted with the UV LIGHTFURY motor. New Soft Magnetic Composite (SMC) technology has been used to try to reduce the motor's weight, so that speed and power delivery can improve.

Features include a 7-inch TFT touchscreen, UV Hypersense Radar, integrated front and rear dashcams, park assist and cruise control. The radar system keeps the rider informed about surrounding traffic. A BMS and a Pyro-fuse safety system have also been provided to protect the battery.

The bike weighs 180 kg, about 20 kg less than the previous-generation platform. The company claims the SRB-11 battery has up to 20 per cent higher energy density and twice the cooling performance. The battery housing uses cast aluminium. The new motor control unit is twice as compact as before and offers three times the power density.

In India, the bike has a starting price of Rs 2.65 lakh (ex-showroom).
