Harley-Davidson has unveiled its new Sprint 440 cruiser motorcycle. The bike will be shown publicly for the first time at EICMA 2026. It is expected to be launched in India after global sales begin.
The motorcycle has been designed and engineered jointly by Harley-Davidson and Hero MotoCorp. Its 440cc engine, low seat height and cruiser styling have drawn attention.
The Sprint 440 has a 440cc single-cylinder, air and oil-cooled engine. It produces 27 hp at 6,000 rpm and a peak torque of 38 Nm at 4,000 rpm. The gearbox is a 6-speed unit with an assist and slipper clutch. Overdrive ratios in fifth and sixth gears may help keep engine speed in check on long rides.
The company claims mileage of up to 34 kmpl. The bike has a 9-litre fuel tank and weighs 187 kg. Its seat height is just 671 mm, which may make it easier for shorter riders to put their feet on the ground.
In styling, the bike has a round headlamp, a muscular fuel tank, a bobbed rear fender and a fastback seat. A 19-inch front wheel and a 17-inch rear wheel give it the cruiser look. It has been presented in three colours: Dark Billiard Grey, Vivid Black and Teal Thunder.
Features include a 3.5-inch colour TFT display, full LED lighting and a USB-C charging port. For safety, it has dual disc brakes and standard ABS, with a 320 mm disc at the front and a 240 mm disc at the rear. Suspension consists of 43 mm inverted forks at the front and piggyback shock absorbers at the rear.
Sales in the United States will begin in spring 2027. Final assembly will take place at the York plant in Pennsylvania. Accessories for riders will include different seats, saddlebags, a windshield and engine guards.
The company has not yet announced the India launch date or the price.
