Amazon India says two-wheeler sales rose to six times an average day during the Amazon Great Indian Festival 2026, with semi-urban and small-city buyers making up over 60 per cent.

With the festival season under way, more people are now buying bikes and scooters online. During the Amazon Great Indian Festival 2026, two-wheeler sales on Amazon India rose to six times those of an average day. The jump came within just a few days.

Small cities contributed more to the buying than the big metros. Amazon said semi-urban and small-city customers accounted for more than 60 per cent of total two-wheeler sales. Vehicles ranging from electric scooters to premium bikes have drawn a good response from customers.

Among manufacturers, vehicles from Hero MotoCorp, Bajaj Auto, Chetak, Ampere, Triumph and KTM are proving popular. Large numbers of orders are also coming from cities such as Surat, Kota, Visakhapatnam, Bhubaneswar, Prayagraj, Warangal, Amritsar, Ludhiana, Belagavi and Kanpur.

Electric two-wheeler sales also drew attention. Sales of electric vehicles from brands such as Chetak and Ampere rose to eight times those of an average day. Sales of two-wheelers for everyday use reached 13.5 times the usual pace, while premium motorcycle sales rose two and a half times.

Customers can view details of more than 200 models from home and compare different vehicles before deciding. This is making online two-wheeler buying more popular.

Ahead of Dhanteras and Diwali, Amazon has also announced several financing offers. Through Amazon Pay Shopping Loan, customers can buy a two-wheeler on an EMI starting at Rs 2,350 a month, with up to 24 months to repay. Eligible customers can also avail of the loan facility.

HDFC Bank credit cards and EasyEMI carry an instant discount of up to 10 per cent. Savings of up to Rs 9,000 are also available on cards of other banks, up to Rs 3,000 through coupons and up to Rs 7,000 through Amazon Pay UPI.

Sales of vehicle accessories have also risen. Items such as helmets, dashcams, GPS trackers and riding gear sold more. Sales at Amazon's automotive store rose to 2.2 times those of an average day.
