Pune: The heat of the sun is rising in the state these days, making it difficult even to step out of the house. For people suffering the "October heat", the weather department has now issued a rain alert. According to the department, heavy rain accompanied by lightning is possible in different parts of the state over the next 4 to 5 days. Konkan may also experience hot and humid weather.

With temperatures climbing in October, people are enduring oppressive heat. While the scorching sun is intensifying in Maharashtra, conditions are also building for stormy rain. On Thursday (the 15th), sunshine is expected to remain harsh in many parts of the state. Notably, maximum temperatures in the state are rising, and the mercury is being recorded continuously above 36 degrees Celsius in many places.

People are troubled by the strengthening sun and humidity during the day. In the coastal districts of Konkan, humidity levels may rise along with the heat. People should therefore take care when going out.

Rain with strong winds has been forecast in Kolhapur and Solapur districts. In Konkan's Palghar, Thane, Mumbai, Raigad, Ratnagiri and Sindhudurg districts, hot and humid weather is expected, so people in these areas may suffer more from the humidity. The sharp sun and discomfort may continue in the state.

Conditions for rain with lightning are still taking shape. For this reason, showers of stormy rain may fall in different parts of the state over the next 4 to 5 days. Lightning and strong winds may also be experienced in some places. However, the nature and intensity of the rain may vary from district to district. Some districts may have to face rain along with the heat of the sun.
